I just logged in after probably a year of being absent. I don't get much time to draw anymore but I have been steadily working on art for a game/novel project (Spell Saga). Hey, just thought I'd mention that this is essentially an inactive account for the time being. If any of the people who watch me are still using dA and are reading this, you'll already know by now that I haven't really posted anything in like 2 years anyway. 

School is hard

but that's okay because I'm learning many, many things

but it's still exhausting

It is spring, so that means Iron and Wine's Our Endless Numbered Days album has been on repeat and the windows and doors are open and it's pretty nice

people are intriguing but hurtful, what else is new

I'm running out of loose tea, I should get more

I don't have much else to say

So at my school there is a traditional game played around Halloween called Zombies.

And yes, the rules are just as wonderful as the name sounds. Basically 800 kids get to run around the whole week simulating a zombie invasion with squirt guns and raving groups of sleep-deprived, paranoid people. And no I am not kidding.

So I basically shat myself when I heard all about it (if you knew about the food here you'd find it funny that I was eating at the time).


So I'm probs not taking an art class this semester and I doubt I'll have much time to draw but I just wanted to share Zombies with dA.

Packed my shit up and move-in is tomorrow at 9am. 3 hour drive to Sarasota today, going to New College of Florida. I just finished three paintings for my mom's friend, but that's about it as far as art goes. I guess I could throw together another dump or sorts with pics n shit. I guess the point of updating on an art site is updating about art. So that is my update about art.

I also got a tattoo ( you can see it here) Got the Cartesian coordinate equation for a circle centered on the origin. There's a tl;dr explanation in the link if anyone's interested in that. I love it very much.

While I doubt I'll update anything traditional over the next...very long time, I am bringing my tablet and pen. If SAI holds out I may even have time to do a drawing or two, who knows. I joined dA in something like 7th grade when I thought I'd end up in an art school because it was "the easy thing to do". Throughout the course of high school I've moved away from that because I have found a love in learning, especially about the sciences. I still love doing art (the three paintings I just did were primarily fingerpainted portraits), but I have long known that there is absolutely no way I could ever make it in the art world. I just don't have the passion. I've got the obsession and the dedication to my own personal goals, but I couldn't make a living off of something I do to relax.

So thank you to all you guys (and gals) in this corner of the internet who have encouraged me all this time. Joining this site improved my art more than I could have ever asked for, and the feedback I received made me eager to continue. While submissions have been getting fewer and fewer over the past few years, I still consider myself at least slightly active on dA and I do intend to post some things every now and then.

And I already cried about leaving my cat today (we shared some cold pizza. It was a beautiful moment in time), so now I just have to man up and clean the rest of my shit before I head off. Thanks, deviantart. You're wonderful and fucked up and horrifying and inspiring all at once.
