some kids from school and i went to Disney's Festival of the Masters and did a reproduction of Renoir's "Luncheon of the Boating Party" in chalk.
(this si one of the better pics) it was 7'x5'8" (or something like that) and took about 18 hours all together over a span of 3 days. we had 4 people on our team, ~Zorrin, ~RomanA87, Sami, and I hoo man, i love you guys, because this was HARD never again shall we let our art teacher pick a painting, NEVER we named them all too- counterclockwize from the right(going in a spiral thing) is: Chalk Norris, ~Karatsuki, Tanktop, Blouse Cick with frills, Pedro (the waiter), Hat chick, The King (Burger King), Other Hat Guy, Lincoln, Trannie/Mulan/Fredy Kruger, Roman's chick (in the middle), Shirlock Holmes, Drinkin' lady, Smear (the guy behind the waiter talking to Drinkin' lady) and please, if you comment, do NOT, I repeat NOT include the word "ambitious". i've heard it all weekend (along with about 15 of the same Disney songs in a continuousl loop) and i've realized it's another word for "retartedly optimistic" close-ups will be added later  oh ps- there was tape around it so any footprints and the like weren't a part of it EDIT Chalk Norris WIP-->[link] Drinkin' Lady WIP-->[link] |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. except we think we got disqualified because we used Fixative and we weren't supposed to and no one got the memo. haha, oops.
but a bunch of tourists came by and commented on how they all had it on their wall (mostly the 50+ crowd though) and how they liked it and all.
ha, i'm still a bit of a pompous jerk because of it
